This gallery is a suite of Veszelyite specimen.  This rare dark blue phosphate was collected from a pocket at the Black Pine Mine in Phillipsburg, Montana.  The mine is since closed and flooded so it is very highly unlikely that any other specimens will be found.  This is probably the last of any accumulation of specimens.     July 2005

bu04 Veszelyite on Quartz - $600  SOLD
Black Pine Mine, Philipsburg, Montana
3.7 x 1.7 x 1 cm

This is a extra fine thumbnail.  The crystals are gemmy, terminated, lustrous.  The only damage is a very minor minor minor tipping of the highest crystal as seen in the top photo.  The cluster of crystals has grown on druzy Quartz matrix.

This is an excellent double terminated, lustrous, undamaged, sharp, dark blue Veszelyite crystal without any matrix.    The top pictures show the xl mounted in some mineral tack in a perkey box.  The Veszelyite has multiple terminated bottom and a single spear point termination on the top.

 Veszelyite - $2500 SOLD

Rare Matrix specimen covered with a multitude of undamaged, dark blue,  lustrous Veszelyite crystals.

 Veszelyite - SOLD
Black Pine Mine, Philipsburg, Montana
xls are 1.1 cm and 1 cm long

This is a superb thumbnail.  Two double terminated, lustrous, sharp, undamaged dark blue Veszelyite crystals esthetically positioned on a small bit of matrix.  The crystals do not touch each other therefore do not have any contact areas.  This a an exceptionally esthetic thumbnail.
