cm21-1107 Gold - $400
Eagles Nest Mine, Placer County, California
2.5 x 2 x 1.2 cm
SOLD
This is an aesthetic well-crystallized thumbnail sized group of hoppered octahedral and flattened octahedral gold crystals from the world famous Eagles Nest mine.
cm22 Tourmaline - $775
Himalaya Mine, San Diego County, California
7.5 x 3.8 x 3.5 cm
SOLD
This cabinet sized Himalaya Tourmaline is pink with a thin green cap. The flat typical termination has concoidal growth patterns. The transluscent pink coloration from the side turns out to be a much darker pinkish red as viewed from the base as seen in the photo. The crystal has a been repaired. I believe that it was found in the pocket in two pieces and matched up. The sections could be separated. The top section then would be undamaged and unrepaired except for the couple of small dings near the top of the termination on one of the sides.
Note: I have since soaked this overnight in Acetone and all the white material in the crack has dissolved. The crystal is still attached but I would think that further soaking would eventually separate it into two pieces as the acetone eventually penetrates between the two halves. See large right photo.
cm23-4637 Neptunite, Joaquinite - $250
Dallas Gem Mine, San Benito County, California
4.5 x 3 x 1 cm
This is an older specimen from the Gil Griffin collection, a miniature that features a terminated 1.9 cm long lustrous Neptunite crystal centered on the matrix. Many smaller terminated lustrous Neptunite crystals poke out from the grey Crossite and white Natrolite matrix. Upper left, surrounded by Nepturnites is a single orange 1 mm Joaquinite crystal in the contrasting white Natrolite.
cm24 Laumontite - $225
Pine Creek Mine, Bishop, California
9 x 3 x 1.5 cm
Laumontite is not know for holding up very well but here is an old time specimen from the Gil Griffin collection that has held up well. This is a California locality piece with value for the location, but I have not seen a better Laumontite from anywhere, even with the massive quantities of Indian specimens. This is a huge nearly 9 cm crystal which is not has a perfect termination but is also twinned.
cm25 Perovskite - $
275
San Benito County, California
6 x 4 x 3.5 cm, 3mm xtals
This is a fine California Perovskite miniature. The matrix has a druse of small crystals with a pair of large 3 mm opaque undamaged lustrous Perovskite crystals.
cm26-1496 Gold - $150
Eagles Nest Mine, Placer County, California
8 x 8 x 5 mm
SOLD
This is a small group of gold crystals from the world famous Eagles Nest mine which features a 4mm hoppered octahedral gold crystal with all of its top 4 sides present perched at the top of the first photo.
cm27-4295 Tourmaline - $1150
Little Three Mine, near Ramona, San Diego County, California
4 x 3 x 4 cm
SOLD
This is a beautiful dark green fat, stubby, nearly opaque Tourmaline which is both sharp and super lustrous. The termination also has the super luster and an interesting concoidal growth patterns. Little Three Mine specimens are uncommonly seen for sale. Here is a beautiful undamaged terminated Tourmaline.
cm28 Artinite - $150
Clear Creek, San Benito County, California
7.5 x 6 x 4 cm
Artinite specimens are generally uninteresting, but finally this one has some character and aesthetics. This particularly nice small cabinet has acicular sprays of white Artinite crystals forming the spheres running along the edges and shelves of the matrix.
cm29 Inesite - $425
Trinity County, California
8 x 6.5 x 4 cm
Opaque pink well formed crystals of Inesite make up this small cabinet sized California specimen. Showy and aesthetic specimen with good contrast. Good aesthetic California Inesite specimens are not easy to find. This one displays well and is a must for the California suite.

SOLD
Eagles Nest Mine, Placer County, California
2 x 1.3 x .3 cm
This piece features a weave of highly lustrous flattened octahedral gold crystals in the form of an ivy leaf or coat of arms. Displays almost the same from either side. Photo of side view of the specimen shows the thckness of the flattened crystals. Impressive thumbnail sized gold.
cm31-2712 Tourmaline in Quartz - $975
Himalaya Mine, San Diego County, California
5.5 x 4 x 3.5 cm
SOLD
This miniature cluster from the now-closed Himalaya Mine has several Tourmalines with Quartz. The main crystal is 3.5 cm, lustrous, gemmy, and the bottom 2/3 of the crystal is light olive green which turns into pink on the top 1/3. The cap agains goes green. The termination is typically flat and has a matte finish. The crystal is undamaged. There are alot of single crystals on the market from the Himalaya but good combination specimens are uncommon.
