Large specimen, covered with Calcite crystals. Scheelite crystals are hidden mostly under the Calcite. Using a SW lamp, you can see the Scheelite on the edges of the specimen and even some under the Calcite, which also fluoresces a red orange. This is a huge Calcite specimen and is in excellent shape, unusual for these Calcite specimens. There are a few areas of damage but the Calcite crystals are in excellent undamaged condition. Also the one edge is also thickly coated with Calcite (and probably Scheelite). Scheelite or Calcite specimens have not come out for about 5 or more years. Currently private property, no collecting allowed, and may even be sealed by the state of Utah. The Calcite could be dissolved using HCl to reveal the Scheelite crystals. Great large Fluorescent specime.
