5 cm, Cabinet, No attachment on this floater cluster of octahedral
Pyrite. These were collected by John Medici several years ago.

cracks which is normal. Some specimens in the cleaning and prep
process to remove these from shale require reassembly. I do not know
on this one but the crack around the center looks like the two halves are
probably rejoined. Again most of these have some repair since they are
found in shale, which is removed. It displays upright without any

like strings of Dolomite crystals. There are also small needle
like terminated Quartz crystals with some iron staining causing them to
be brown. Under a loop the small Quartz crystals have some small single
rhombs of Dolomite which is the same crystals making up the strings of
cystals. So this is Dolomite.

55 8uu ((AZURITE)),
$10 MINIMUM
BID, Flambeau Mine, Ladysmith, Rusk County, Wisconsin, 6.5 x 3 x
3 cm, Miniature, The Flambeau Mine is famous for its worldclass
Chalcocite specimens. Operated by Kennecott for only a few years and
now reclaimed, Casey Jones was awarded collecting rights for these
superb Chalcocites. Needless to say other associated minerals were not
collected because of the time factor. A University of Utah professor
got to visit the Flambeau during its operation and just happened to collect
several Azurite specimens. Although not world class, the Azurite
specimens are much more a rarity now than the Chalcocites which have climbed
in value. Here is a chance to acquire one of these Azurites.
I do not know if any more will be available. It depends on the Geology
Departments decision on what to deassess. This is a specimen that
won't currently be found in many if any other collections. ex
