1   FEATURED ITEM $60 Min Bid - sw  QUARTZ with CHALCOPYRITE, Animon Mine, Peru,  16 x 13 x 4 cm,  Here is a very large cabinet display specimen covered with terminated transparent Quartz crystals.  There are  very few broken crystals.  Overall in great shape.  There are also nice undamaged Chalcopyrite crystals and a few Pyrite crystals perched among the multitude of Quartz crystals.

2  FEATURED ITEM $85 Min Bid -  mw  CALCITE with DOLOMITE, Sweetwater Mine, Reynolds County, Missouri,  16 x 10 x 6 cm, Large cabinet sized specimen.  The Calcite crystal is 16 cm (over 6 inches) in length and stands 10 cm ( 4 inches )  high perched on a base of Dolomite and Chalcopyrite.  The Calcite is double terminated and has a lustrous golden color.  It is undamaged except that the one terminated has a cleaved tip which does not detract from display.  It is a fairly large cleave but blends in well. 

3  FEATURED ITEM $60 Min Bid -  sw  RHODOCHROSITE on QUARTZ, Uchucchacua Mine, Dos de Mayo Province, Huanuco department, Peru, 3.5 x 2.5 x 1 cm,  Here is an excellent miniature.  The Rhodochrosite has an unusual form.   There are pink spherical crystals of Rhodochrosite on a contrasting white Quartz.

 

4  FEATURED ITEM $60 Min Bid - sw  TETRAHEDRITE with CHALCOPYRITE coating,  Casapalca Mine, Peru, 17 x 8 x 3 cm,  Large cabinet sized specimen of undamaged Tetrahedrite coating with a golden Chalcopyrite sheen.

5  FEATURED ITEM $200 Min Bid - 588  CALCITE, San Martin Mine, Zacatecas, Mexico,  15 x 12 x 4 cm,  Here is a beautiful Calcite which is a large cabinet sized specimen.  The Calcite resembles the poker chip Calcites of Charcas, but this is a Zacatecas Calcite.  The specimen is covered with white hexagonal poker chip Calcite.  Amazingly the specimen is totally undamaged. 

6 FEATURED ITEM  $250 Min Bid -  HEMATITE, Rhenbach, France,  14 x 9 x 5 cm,  Here is a classic French Hematite.  These are rarely seen for sale.  The matrix is covered with  flat Hematite blades.  Only very minor damage to the tips of some of the bladed crystals.  Minor considering the size of the specimen which is a large cabinet size.  This is an old specimen out of an old collection.  I purchased this about 10 years ago and had in my Hematite suite.

 

7 FEATURED ITEM $300 Min Bid - 1858 TOURMALINE, Maxixe Mine, Itinga, Minas Gerais, Brazil, 7.5 x 3 x 3 cm, Here is Brazilian Tourmaline with a green outer shell and a pink interior.  The green outer shell of the crystal remains on the top third which includes the termination but the lower 2/3 of the specimen has the green naturally etched away giving the crystal a tail of pink.  

8  FEATURED ITEM $30 Min Bid -  sw  BARITE, GALENA, Huanzala Mine, Peru,  10 x 10 x 4.5 cm,  Large cabinet  specimen of Barite from Peru.  This is a larger than normal sized Barite.  The Barite is white with a dusting of Pyrite on the one side. The other side is bright white with small Galena cyrstals on the lower half of the specimen.  Some damage, but overall in great shape.

 

9 FEATURED ITEM $40 Min Bid -  sw  CALCITE on SPHALERITE with minor QUARTZ, Huanzala Mine, Huallanca District, Dos de Mayo Province, Huanuco Department, Peru,  12.5 x 10 x 4 cm,  Large cabinet  specimen from Peru.  This is another fine Peruvian specimen.  On the front side undamaged white Calcite crystals cover much of the darker Sphalerite crystals.  One the reverse a few patches of Quartz crystals and minor Chalcite covers only a small part of the Sphalerite.  

10 FEATURED ITEM $40 Min Bid -  sw  CHALCOPYRITE with SIDERITE and QUARTZ, Julcani Mine, Angaraes Province, Huancavelica, Peru,  9 x 8.5 x 3 cm,  Cabinet  specimen from Peru.  This is another fine Peruvian specimen.  Beautiful undamaged brassy or actually golden Chalcopyrite with small areas of contrasting Quartz druze and two rhombs of Siderite. 

11 FEATURED ITEM $50 Min Bid -  sw  FERBERITE on QUARTZ, Mundo Nuevo, Peru,  9.5 x 6 x 6 cm,  Cabinet  specimen from Peru.  This is another fine Peruvian specimen.  A sculptural Quartz specimen with a 1.5 cm contrasting black undamaged Ferberite crystal perched near the center of the Quartz. 

 

12 FEATURED ITEM $45 Min Bid -  sw  QUARTZ on TETRAHEDRITE,  Casapalca Mine, Huarochiri Province, Lima Department, Peru, 10 x 8 x 6 cm,  Large cabinet sized specimen of terminated Quartz on a mixed sulfide matix of Tetrahedrite, Sphalerite  and Pyrite.  However the Quartz dominates and covers almost everything.  Some Tetrahedrite is intermixed with the Quartz.  Quartz is undamaged except for a couple of crystals. Displays nicely.

13 FEATURED ITEM $85 Min Bid - sw FLUORITE with CALCITE, Yaogangxian Mine, Yizhang County, Hunan Province, China, 15 x 15 x 10 cm,  Large cabinet sized undamaged specimen.  One side is covered with light purple undamaged cubic Fluorite.  The other side is covered with a Quartz druze over cubic Fluorite.  Then single and double terminated scalenohedral Calcite crystals.   A great specimen

 

14 FEATURED ITEM $400 Min Bid - 2210 CALCITE on CALCITE on QUARTZ,  Jagaon, Maharashtra, India,  16 x 9 x 7.5 cm,  Here is a superb Indian Calcite specimen.  The base is a heavy large Quartz druze with a core of Calcite.  On the Quartz is a huge undamaged Calcite crystal.  On the large crystals are smaller rhombs of dark brown Calcite crystals.  See Mineral Record India issues on Calcite of India.  This is an excellent Indian Calcite that also displays excellent.

15 FEATURED ITEM $100 Min Bid - 578  GOOSECREEKITE minor LAUMONTITE, Nasik, Maharashtra, India,  16 x 8 x 5 cm,  Here is a large cabinet specimen of a rare Indian zeolite.  The specimen is covered with white Goosecreekite crystals.  Also minor LAUMONTITE is also present.

17 sw QUARTZ with ARSENOPYRITE and WOLFRAMITE, Yaogangxian Mine, Yizhang County, Hunan Province, China, 5 x 4.5 x 2.5 cm,  Miniature specimen with two terminated Quartz crystals.  On the crystals are lustrous Arsenopyrite and lustrous Wolframite.

18   sw  ORPIMENT with CALCITE, Hunan Province, China, 8.5 x 8 x 2.5 cm,  Cabinet sized specimen with two spray of golden brown terminated Orpiment crystals.  Associated with the Orpiment is white opaque Calcite.  Between the Orpiment sprays is a terminated Calcite with some contact on its tip.

20 sw CALCITE with MALACHITE inclusions, Daye, Hubei Province, China, 9 x 6 x 5 cm,  Lustrous dark translucent Calcite with green Malachite inclusions and Malachite on the surface of the Calcite.

21 sw CALCITE with minor REALGAR, near Shimen, Hunan Province, China, 12 x 5 x 5 cm,  Cabinet sized specimen of lustrous translucent twinned double terminated scalenohedral Calcite crystal with minor red Realgar on the bottom and one side.

22 sw WULFENITE,  Hunan Province, China, 4 x 4 x 3 cm,  Bipyramidal yellow crystals of Wulfenite to 2 mm, while most 1 mm, on a matrix of Barite. 

23 sw RED REALGAR on CALCITE with PICOPHARMACOLITE, near Shimen, Hunan Province, China, 7 x 6 x 4 cm,  Cabinet sized specimen of lustrous scalenohedral Calcite crystals with red gemmy terminated Realgar crystals.  Also the acicular white needles radiating in a sphere of the rarer Picopharmacolite is present (at least one).  Note that this specimen is basically damage free.  The Calcite and Realgar crystals look good.

24 sw QUARTZ with ARSENOPYRITE, FLUORITE, $1 OPENING BID, Yaogangxian Mine, Yizhang County, Hunan Province, China, 6.5 x 5 x 5 cm,  Large terminated Quartz crystal with nearly colorless cubic Fluorite crystals.  Also associated Arsenopyrite.  Fluorite and Arsenopyrite in good shape.  There is another large Quartz crystal which was apparent broken off in the pocket since it has Quartz regrowth on the broken surface.

25 sw FLUORITE, $1 OPENING BID, Yaogangxian Mine, Yizhang County, Hunan Province, China, 5 x 5 x 4 cm,  Cubic Fluorite crystals stacked into an octahedral shape.  Back half of specimen is contacted.  The part of the octahedron present is damage free.

26 sw CINNABAR on DOLOMITE with QUARTZ, Fenghuang, Hunan Province, China, 5 x 5 x 4 cm,  Red Cinnabar on white Dolomite crystals with a colorless terminated Quartz crystal. 

27 sw JAMESONITE on FLUORITE,  Yaogangxian Mine, Yizhang County, Hunan Province, China, 4 x 4 x 3.5 cm,  Black needles of Jamesonite are covering several Fluorite cubes and Quartz needles.  The Fluorites cubes are a little hard to see but are probably heavy included with Jamesonite.

40  sw FLUORITE on QUARTZ, CALCITE,  $1 OPENING BID,Yaogangxian Mine, Yizhang County, Hunan Province, China, 3 x 3 x 3 cm,  Miniature specimen of an elongated cube of colorless Fluorite on a shard of Quartz. 

41   CALCITE with MARCASITE, $1 OPENING BID, Brushy Creek Mine, Reynolds County, Missouri,  5.5 x 3 x 3 cm,  Grey single undamaged point of Calcite with small rust colored Marcasite crystals on the front face. 

42  FLUORESCENT ANDERSONITE, Atomic King Mine, Cane Creek Canyon, Grand County, Utah,  8 x 6 x 3 cm,  Highly Fluorescent Uranium mineral from Utah.  These mines are all closed and sealed by the state of Utah.  No new collecting is possible.  The Andersonite is the yellow mineral of the sandstone matrix.

43  jdo  VESZELYITE, Black Pine Mine, Montana,  .8 x .4 x .4 cm,  Here is another specimen of midnight blue colored Veszelyite.  Two terminated crystals with the tip of the back crystal broken off.  The front crystals termination is undamaged.  Both crystals have some matrix included on the surface of the crystals faces.  Still this is a thumbnail sized reference specimen for this rare phosphate. 

44   sh BARITE, Cannon Claims, Buckhorn Canyon, Dugway District, Tooele county, Utah,  8 x 5 x 3.5 cm,  Here is a pretty nice specimen of this Buckhorn Canyon Barites that were collected by in the early 90's.  aesthetic specimens are hard to find.  Many specimens are large and have considerable damage.  Miniature and small cabinet specimens are uncommon.  This one has a missing crystal in the center which does not show when displaying.  Otherwise the Barite bladed crystals are in great shape and also have a white frosting which is also not the norm. 

 

45  mc SULFUR, $1 OPENING BID, Beaver County, Utah,  5 x 4.5 x 2 cm,  Miniature sized specimen of molten looking non crystalline Sulfur from Utah.  ex Mel Cannon collection. 

46  mc TWO RED BERYLS, Violet Claims, Wah Wah Mtns, Beaver County, Utah,  larger is .7 x .4 x .4 cm,  Single terminated hexagonal crystal of Red Beryl from the famous Rex Harris Violet Claims.  Also a second crystal that is single terminated and about half the length of the first crystal. The claim was sold several years ago and the buyers defaulted on payments.  The claim is back with the Harris's but has been reclaimed by the state and so is not being mined.   ex Mel Cannon collection. 

47   mc BIXBYITE on WHITE TOPAZ, Thomas Range, Juab County, Utah,  4 x 1.5 x 1.5 cm,  Here is a neat specimen of the uncommon White Topaz from Topaz Mountain.  White Topaz is regular sherry Topaz with clay or Quartz inclusions which make the Topaz opaque white in color.  This one is lustrous and terminated and on a matrix of another crystal.  Best of all  there are at least 6 black cubic Bixbyites on the termination and another 2 or 3 on the base.  These are fairly rare while a few are found from time to time. ex Mel Cannon collection. 

48    mc  GOETHITE pseudomorph after PYRITE,  Pelican Point, Utah County, Utah,   4.5 x 4.5 x 4 cm,  Pelican Point produced the best of this pseudomorph in the world.  This one has many cubic crystals forming a ball.  Minor damage to a few areas, especially the base.  A must for any pseudomorph collection.

49 mc  ALAMANDINE on SCHIST,  Wrangell, Alaska,  6 x 4.5 x 3 cm,  Undamaged 2.2 cm Alamandine crystals in a Schist matrix.  Very fine classic Alamandine crystal.

 

50  bgts WULFENITE, Stevenson-Bennett Mine, Dona Ana County, New Mexico,  6.5 x 4 x 1.5 cm,   A miniature specimen of an old New Mexico Wulfenite location.  Some damage to the crystals while others are undamaged.   Wulfenites have a yellow orange color. 

51   dbns  MALACHITE, $1 OPENING BID, Cerro de Oro, San Miguel de Casitas, Sonora, Mexico,   4 x 4 x 4 cm,  Green Malachite on matrix from a Mexican location.  ex Dan Belcher specimen. 

52  db BARITE, Julcani Mine, Peru,  6 x 6 x 5 cm, Miniature specimen of Peruvian Barite.  Some of the crystals have damage. 

53 mc  OPTICAL CALCITE, Mexico,   4.5 x 3 x 3 cm,  Here is a large cleavage rhomb of water clear optical Calcite from Mexico.  This is great for illustrating the double refraction property of Calcite.  ex Mel Cannon collection.

58  mc NATURAL CARBON, Columbia, South America, 5 x 2 x 2 cm, Carbon is not listed in Mindat.org.  I am not familiar with natural carbon.  The location is the label that came with the specimen.  Would be nice with a diamond display.  ex Mel Cannon collection.

65   QUARTZ included with TOURMALINE, $1 OPENING BID, Himalaya Mine, San Diego County, California,  6 x 5 x 3.5 cm,  This is a single terminated Quartz crystal included by long thin Tourmaline crystals.  These Tourmalines are 1 mm in thickness and up to 2 cm in length. 

 

66 sw TOURMALINE, Himalaya Mine, San Diego County, California,  2.8 x .7 x .7 cm,  This is an excellent undamaged double terminated Tourmaline from the Himalaya.  Color is a light almost clear blackish green with a partial core of dark blackish green. 

67   DOLOMITE, Binkley and Ober Quarry, East Hempfield, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania,  5 x 4 x 2 cm,  Miniature excellent undamaged specimen of Pennsylvanian Dolomite.  Crystals are of the saddle back variety and the color is salmon. 

68  sw RHODOCHROSITE, FLUORITE,  Uchucchacua Mine, Dos de Mayo Province, Huanuco Department, Peru,  4 x 2 x 1.5 cm,  Red scalenohedral Rhodochrosite on matrix with a colorless Fluorite crystal. 

 

69   SULFUR, $1 OPENING BID, Hycroft Mine, Sulfur, Nevada,  13 x 7 x 5 cm,  Larger cabinet sized Sulfur from Nevada. 

 

70  PSUEDOBROOKITE on RHYOLITE with TOPAZ, Thomas Range, Juab County, Utah,   7 x 6 x 4 cm,  Here is a cabinet sized specimen of Topaz Mountain Rhyolite with vesicles containing black needles of Pseudobrookite.  Also small Pink Topaz crystals on the Rhyolite matrix.  A few areas of the Thomas Range contain Pink Topaz.  Usually fairly small crystals but also not as or not at all light sensitive like the sherry Topaz. 

 

71  DURANGITE, Thomas Range, Juab County, Utah, 2 x 1.5 x 1.5 cm,  Here is a thumbnail specimen full of orange Durangite crystals about 1 mm in size.  Durangite is a rare mineral that was found in a small pod years ago that has since been completely excavated.  see www.mindat.org .

72  sh TWO PIECES TETRAHEDRITE with PYRITE, $1 OPENING BID, Daly Judge Mine, Summit county, Park City, Utah,   3.5 x 2 x 1.5 cm,  Here are two specimens, miniature size, of silvery Tetrahedrite with brassy striated Pyrite.  

73  RUTILE on HEMATITE, Brazil, 3 x 2 x .2 cm,  Small specimen of needles of golden Rutile on a small amount of Hematite. 

 

74  sw TOURMALINE, Pederneira Mine, Minas Gerais, Brazil,    3 x 2.4 x 2.4 cm,  Here is a miniature gemmy blue green terminated Tourmaline.  The termination is flat and lustrous with a smaller second Tourmaline across part of the termination.  The bottom third is hollow with firbrous pink needles of Tourmaline filling the void. 

75 tgr  SULFUR, El Desierto Mine, Bolivia,  7 x 6 x 3.5 cm,  Bright yellow Sulfur crystals on matrix from Bolivia.

76  ANDULARIA, (VALENCIANITE), QUARTZ, CALCITE,  Valencianna Mine, Mexico,   13 x 7 x 2.5 cm,  Here is a cabinet specimen with white chisel shaped crystals of Andularia covered with a druze of mounded Quartz.  On the top are small light brown Calcite crystals.

77  TENNANTITE pseudomorph after ENARGITE, Julcani Mine, Peru,  2.5 x 2 x 1.5 cm,  Here is a fine thumbnail specimen of this pseudomorph that came out of Peru about 5 years ago.  There are a couple of intergrown crystals.  The larger crystal is terminated and undamaged.  The smaller crystal has a damaged termination.  The sides are lustrous. Its a large thumbnail sized pseudomorph. 

78  tgnn  MALACHITE on CHRYSOCOLLA, Shaba Province, Zaire,   11 x 7 x 2.5 cm,  Here is a fine specimen of dark green crystalline Malachite on robin egg blue Crysocolla which forms a contrasting frame around the dark Malachite.
