Dioptase in on a matrix
of white contrasting Calcite. Photo is light and the white barely
shows up. The black at the bottom is some black styro remnants
when it was mounted in a plastic box. Size is 2.5 x 1.7 and about
2.1 cm thick. The main crystal is 1.7 cm in length. Crystals
totally pristine and complete. The center far right small cluster
looks to have contact area from another small crystal on the matrix
boundary. The very bottom slightly right has a small crystal that
is not completely complete again right on the matrix boundary.
These two are not chipped and I cannot really call that damage. But all
other crystals are complete. No chipping or even micro chipping.
I am viewing with a 5 x optivisor. |
