This is a suberb undamaged terminated Pyrite Bar.

1814copper2.jpg (19937 bytes) This is an old specimen from a European collection.  The copper is lacquered to keep it from tarnishing and the Calcite appears to be acid treated on two sides to better show the copper inclusions.   This was typical on some older specimens.  It is still an aesthetic Michigan specimen.

1783) SIEGENITE, Sweetwater Mine, Bonnetere, Viburnum Trend, Reynolds County, Missouri - 6 x 5 x 2 cm,  Here is a very nice Siegenite.  Cubo-Octahedral Galena crystals make up the backside.  Over 8 large well formed Siegenite crystals, which are not done justice by the photo,  with Galena make up the front.  - $450.00
This is the front side.  bottom left is a cubic highly lustrous undamaged Galena.  top right edge has 2 large cubo-octahedral galena crystals with matt finish and no damage. (light is still reflecting off edge making it white.)

This is the backside,  All crystals cubo-octahedral Galena with no damage and a matt finish/luster.

1783) SIEGENITE, Sweetwater Mine, Bonnetere, Viburnum Trend, Reynolds County, Missouri - 6 x 5 x 2 cm
This is the front side.  bottom left is a cubic highly lustrous undamaged Galena.  top right edge has 2 large cubo-octahedral galena crystals with matt finish and no damage. (light is still reflecting off edge making it white.) Siegenite crystals are the octahedral highly lustrous, undamaged crystals. This is the front side CLOSE UP.    Right edge has  large cubo-octahedral galena crystals with matt finish and no damage. (light is still reflecting off edge making it white.)  Siegenite is the Octahedral crystal to the left of the galena which is lustrous, undamaged and the light is reflecting off one face making it white.   Other Siegenites are also lustrous and undamaged but look like dull ?mounds in the photo because of the light angle.

1068) CHALCOCITE, 402-1000 level, Lucky Friday Pocket, Flambeau Mine, Lady Smith, Rusk County, Wisconsin -  6 x 6 x 6 cm ,  This is an  large cabinet of irridescent gold Chalcocite crystals.  Minor damage occurs to the tips of some of the crystals.  Gold irridescense is much better in person and does not show very well in the photo.   - $300.00

Saint Hillaire, Quebec, Canada  6.5 x 5 x 5 cm, This is a 3 cm Siderite crystal perched on a contrasting white matrix.  There is a slight repair which is impossible to see.  A 1 cm part of one corner has been Elmer's glued back on.  It is now impossible to detect since the corner fit perfectly. I would never have seen it but it cleaved during cleaning. $100.00
