Pseudo-octahedral TINCALCONITE, BAKERITE, Clamshell ULEXITE

Jim & Dawn Minette Collection

These are specimens from the lifetime collection of Jim and Dawn Minette.

PSEUDO-OCTAHEDRAL TINCALCONITE:  These grew and were found inside the Dissolving Tanks
in the Borate Refinery when routine maintenance and clean out was done.

BAKERITE:

CLAMSHELL ULEXITE:  These were collected with great difficulty and it was hard to get undamaged
specimens.  It normally required two people to collect, one to free up the specimen and the other
person to catch the specimen as it fell.
